and it got me thinking where am I going in life, and how do I make that dream a reality?
So when I wanted to start my business I had a dream, a dream to host baking classes and that dream seemed so possible because I had the most amazing kitchen with the most beautiful surroundings to host them in. I have space in my amazing kitchen, I have the experience from all the baking classes I have enjoyed over the years with so many famous teachers and above all else I have the love of being with people, so why haven’t I made my dream a reality???
It’s been just over 2 years since Hunkington House Kitchen was fully established as my full time business and with the classes I initially advertised in 2019 I really didn’t appreciate as a customer you needed to know, like and trust me so when I advertised a class and not many people booked I was absolutely devastated.
However, I get it now and after hosting numerous zoom baking classes and being in my absolute element I know there’s a place for both zoom and in-person classes in my dream going forward. I’m most definitely a person who gets things done and believe me I’ve not stopped on the doing side of things for my business as I honestly refuse to give up but maybe, just maybe I have not been doing the things that have allowed me to dream, plan & do in the right direction…
For those of you who know me I am most definitely a people person and oh my word can I talk but when I am baking with people I’ve realised the excitement I get from teaching and showing people how to create homemade deliciousness is where my heart lies and brings out the real me. I am just in the middle of writing the zoom and also in person classes for later this year and into 2021 plus there is also a very special announcement due out where I will be teaching some mini classes at the Shrewsbury Food Festival which oh my goodness I never thought I’d be saying, yes bring out the Prosecco!!!
